Happy Birthday, Mom!
Today at work (Sunday, Sept 27), there was a CPU spike on a server and the monitoring system had such an interesting geometric shape. It reminded me of a little house. I wasn't busy, waiting on the next ticket, so I edited the screenshot of the graph to add a little server person and a childish sun.
You don't need to understand the graph, but basically when there are a lot of colors other than green, that's usually bad.
It reminded me of childhood artwork. I joked to the shift supervisor that I should send that to my Mom to put on her fridge.
Well, tonight after work I thought, what if Mom might like some old fashioned fridge art for her birthday? The server person looked lonely, so I added a crepe myrtle and a cat. And tried to fix the face but now it looks like the Jack in the Box antenna ball thingy that was all the rage in TX 20 years ago.
I had been thinking about searching for an image for your birthday website, but I made this myself and thought you might like my fridge art better.
As bad as it is, but Moms always put art on the fridge when you bring it home from school until something else crowds it out. So here it is on your website.
This is also very rudimentary late 90's era html. It's not very good but handwritten with love and not AI and that's what counts. Or at least I think it should matter when we handcraft things for the people we love, no matter how small.
I did all the image edits in gimp, which I'm not very good at. I could have done a much better job if this was on paper with literal crayons.
UPDATE Mom's reaction
I LOVE MY BIRTHDAY PICTURE! I will send it to be printed and will put it on my fridge. You are such a good artist--might enjoy doing more for a hobby. It makes me happy in the kind of way that goes down into your soul and makes you smile from the inside. The jack in the box face, the cat looking unsure of what's going on but his ears are perked up so he doesn't miss anything, and the crepe myrtle in full bloom. This is one of the best presents I've every gotten. Thank you so much, sweet Anna.
